Lindsey Warburton

Lindsey Warburton is the government affairs manager for immigration at the Niskanen Center where she is responsible for outreach to Congress and federal agencies to advance bipartisan policies. She advocates on several overarching issue areas including strategic enforcement, aligning admissions with national interest, and efficiency and integrity throughout the immigration system. Among other topics, she works with congressional offices to build consensus on bolstering our agriculture and healthcare workforce as well as on securing our border and modernizing our overburdened system.

Previously, Lindsey led the U.S. federal government engagement on immigration and refugee issues for The Episcopal Church’s Office of Government Relations covering a broad range of humanitarian policy issues including the U.S. Refugee Admissions Program, Dreamers/DACA, Temporary Protected Status (TPS), and asylum. Lindsey is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a Bachelor of Arts in Global Studies and a Bachelor of Arts in Hispanic Literatures and Cultures (Spanish).

Lindsey is based in Washington, DC but is a proud North Carolinian. She has also lived in both Peru and Spain, where she became fluent in Spanish.
