Sarah Iskander is the Government Affairs Manager for Climate and Energy at the Niskanen Center. She leads congressional, federal, and stakeholder engagement to advance market-based climate and energy solutions.
Prior to joining Niskanen, Sarah served as a congressional liaison at the U.S. Department of Energy, where she worked closely with the Appropriations Committees and managed a $12.5 billion portfolio. Previously, she served as Strategic Engagement Manager at Virgin Hyperloop based out of Dubai and Washington DC, where she secured the recognition of hyperloop technology in US federal law.
Sarah holds a M.S. in Science, Technology, and International Affairs from Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service and a B.A. in Arabic Studies and International Development from the University of Maryland. She is a former Presidential Management Fellow and Boren Scholar.
