Shari L. May is a Development Research Manager at the Niskanen Center, where she manages prospect identification and research for the Development Department.
Prior to joining Niskanen, Shari was Manager of Foundation and Corporate Giving at Operation Gratitude, a national nonprofit serving the military, veteran, and first responder communities. While at Operation Gratitude, she developed the foundation prospect pipeline, conducted prospect research, and authored many successful grant proposals. She also previously worked as Senior Research Manager at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, where she conducted prospect research and prepared leadership of the Global Energy Institute, Hiring Our Heroes, and the Political Affairs division for fundraising meetings and events. Shari earned her M.A. in Public Administration from Virginia Tech and her B.A. in History from American University.
