Evan Burt is a Policy Analyst for Criminal Justice at the Niskanen Center, where he helps research, develop, and communicate Niskanen’s criminal justice policy agenda. His previous experience includes work as a criminal justice policy analyst; educator; specialist on money laundering; and higher education policy advocate.

Burt earned a master’s degree in global policy studies from the Lyndon B. Johnson School of Public Affairs at the University of Texas at Austin, and a bachelor’s degree in political science from American University.
