Louisa Tavlas
Louisa Tavlas is the Vice President of Communications at the Niskanen Center, where she leads the organization’s strategic communications, media relations, and digital engagement. She works across policy teams to develop impactful messaging, cultivate high-impact media partnerships, and translate Niskanen’s vision into influence in Washington and beyond.
Tavlas brings over 15 years of experience at the intersection of communications, journalism, and public policy. Before joining Niskanen, she was a communications strategist at CRAFT Media/Digital, where she managed and executed communications campaigns for Fortune 500 companies, trade associations, and nonprofit clients. Earlier in her career, Tavlas served as a communications manager at the Cato Institute and worked as a journalist covering the pharmaceutical and personal care industries.
Tavlas earned a bachelor’s degree in English Literature from the University of Virginia and a master’s degree in communications from Drexel University.
