Kristie De Peña joined the Council on Foreign Relations on October 27, 2022 to discuss immigration reform and the American dream. She was joined by Luis V. Gutiérrez, the President of Our Nation’s Future and a former U.S. Representative from Illinois (D); Lulu Garcia-Navarro, the host of the First Person podcast at the New York Times and CFR Member; and Jeremy Robbins, the Executive Director of the American Immigration Council and a CFR Member. The panelists discussed current U.S. immigration policy, the prospects for immigration reform, and both the political and economic implications of immigration.
