CLIMATE

Jerry Taylor, Niskanen Center President, and his study “The Conservative Case for a Carbon Tax” was highlighted in the Washington Post in a piece on weakening arguments of climate change skeptics. Taylor’s stance on a carbon tax and his study were also featured in a piece with a similar focus that was published on In These Times and Truth-Out.

Data on how high a carbon tax would need to be to hit Clean Power Plan (CPP) emission reductions compiled by Niskanen Center scholars David Bookbinder and David Bailey appeared in Reason’s Hit and Run blog and in the Michigan Standard.

FOREIGN POLICY AND DEFENSE

This week, Niskanen Center defense and foreign policy analyst Matthew Fay’s work appeared in an op-ed at RealClearDefense. Fay and William Hartung, Director of the Arms and Security Project at the Center for International Policy, explain why reforms proposed by defense experts in a recent letter don’t go far enough.
