Hosted by The American Enterprise Institute and the Niskanen Center

Enabling Americans to privately sponsor refugees seeking freedom and safety through the Welcome Corps is the boldest innovation in refugee resettlement in the U.S. since its inception — and it is primed to expand. Modeled after Canada’s longstanding and successful sponsorship program, the Welcome Corps draws on the promise of private-sector engagement to welcome and integrate our allies and those most in need.

AEI’s Stan Veuger and Niskanen Center’s Denise Bell welcome Assistant Secretary of State Julieta Valls Noyes, Aerlande Wontamo of World Relief, and Jennifer Bond of the University of Ottawa Refugee Hub for a conversation about Americans’ interest in sponsoring refugees and the role private sponsorship can play in meeting global humanitarian needs.
