Tuesday, November 9

11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. EST

We welcome you to join the Niskanen Center and the National Immigration Forum on Tuesday, November 9, 2021, at 11:30 a.m. ET for a discussion with nationally recognized immigration attorney and author Susan Cohen. In her upcoming book, Journeys From There to Here: Stories of Immigrant Trials, Triumphs, and Contributions, Susan recounts poignant immigration cases she’s worked on and the human impact of our broken immigration system. All proceeds from the book will be donated to the Political Asylum/Immigration Representation (PAIR) Project, which provides free legal services to asylum seekers and promotes detained immigrants’ rights.

This discussion will be moderated by Niskanen’s Kristie De Peña, with guest speakers Ali Noorani, President and CEO of the National Immigration Forum, and Susan Cohen. We are also delighted to be joined by José Salgado, whose moving story of immigration and impact prominently features in the book.
